Have
you ever considered that 7 billion people consume
and create all the time? What will happen with so
much rubbish?
In the beginning of the 2000s, Brazilian cities produced more 90 thousand tons of rubbish per day. However, 27% of households did not have any type of collection. Only 60% of waste was collected and 40% have been gone into rivers, streets and illegal landfills that penetrate the soil and contaminate groundwater. And food waste represents more than 50% of the composition. This information enhances the possibility of their reutilization.
It has been estimated that 35% of the rubbish collected in the country could be transformed into organic fertilizer and 35% could be recycled.
In addition there are many people who survive with this rubbish. More than 40 000 people live of picking landfills.
I strongly believe that together we can make this world a better place. Besides you can throw it always in the rubbish instead of on the street. You can separate the rubbish. Paper together with paper. Plastic together with plastic. Battery separates into a collector. Glass, aluminum, iron, steel are examples of recycling. Styrofoam is also recyclable. You can find out which day the selective collection removes recycable in your neighborhood. Thus you'll be helping the planet and yourself to have a better place for everyone.
