The Brazilian economy today

Since the beginning of the twenty-first century, Brazil has been considered one of the most important countries in the world. According to the recently research  the Brazilian Economy has played an important role in the new economic global order.

Moreover, we see that the country is increasing, for instance, in 2011 Brazil had the world´s sixth largest economy. Nowadays people buy more things than 10 years ago.

According to the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE), In May 2012  the unemployment rate was 5.8%;  It dropped to 6% in April. The unemployment rate in May 2011 was 6.4%.  Unemployment rate og May was less than the 6.0% median estimate by economists.

Beside that if we compare the unemployment rate between Brazil and The US, we see that Brazil has 5.8% of the unemployed and The US have 8.2 percent of the unemployed at the same period. As a result, The US have more unemployment people than Brazil.

On the other hand Brazil has a lot of problems based on political and social environment (including stability, crime and law enforcement), the quality of health care system is not good, poor quality of schools and education, traffic jam because several people have cars and they go to  work by car. These are examples that show why Brazilian citizens should think more about education, because it is the first thing to be improved in Brazil so that many aspects of living here can get better such as health, housing, welfare and sustainability.
